Finding journalists
Search the Media database tab by beat, publication or a recent article. The Suggested tab lists the journalists writing the stories in your newsfeed, so when a story is Building, the people already covering it are right beside it.
The CRM
Ask most teams which journalists they've pitched who never covered them and the answer is in a departed colleague's inbox. Here it's a filter. Every contact sits at one stage, Never contacted, Pitched, Engaged, Covered or Friendly, and shows who in your team owns the relationship.
Each story gets its own press list, where every name has a match score for how closely their writing fits what you're sending. The wrong names come off before anyone is pitched.
Sending from your own mailbox
Pitches go from your own Gmail or Outlook, and opens and clicks are recorded against the contact. You can import a spreadsheet of existing contacts on any plan.
Core is $269/month for three seats.
Questions
Which Agentcy plans include the journalist CRM?
Every Agentcy plan includes the journalist CRM, press lists and tracked sends from your own mailbox, the free plan included. The free plan holds 500 contacts, five press lists and 50 tracked sends a month, and Core raises those to 1,000 contacts, 25 lists and 200 sends. Pro holds 10,000 contacts with unlimited lists and sends. The table shows each plan's limits.

How big is the database?
Agentcy's media database holds over 15,000 journalists and 2,000 influencers. That's fewer than the big suites list, and it's deliberate, because Agentcy only tracks journalists who are actively publishing and influencers who are relevant to B2B brands. The database grows all the time, and the aim is to find the people who actually write the news and have a following, not to chase a headline number. The free plan doesn't run out, so you can search the Media database tab for your own beat and titles before you pay anything.
Does Agentcy distribute press releases on a newswire?
Agentcy doesn't put press releases on a newswire, and sends them to named journalists from your own mailbox instead. Each send goes from your connected Gmail or Outlook, so replies land in your inbox, and opens and clicks are recorded against the journalist's contact. Pro removes the monthly limit on tracked sends. If you need wire distribution, Meltwater and Cision sell it as part of their quote-only suites.
Can Agentcy write the pitch?
Agentcy drafts pitches on Core and Pro from your own recorded facts and style guide, and a person approves each one before it's sent. On Core the newsjack studio drafts your spokesperson's comment on a story in the newsfeed, ready to go to the journalists already covering it. Pro adds proactive pitching, which drafts a pitch to a named journalist based on what they've written, for a story you want to place yourself. The drafting page covers the studios and AgentcyAI in detail.
Can my team share the CRM?
Everyone on an Agentcy account works from the same journalist CRM, with three seats on Core, five on Pro and unlimited seats on Enterprise. Each contact shows who in your team owns the relationship, beside its stage and the pitches you've sent. Every journalist and publication also has a page your team can edit, with what they cover and your history with them. When someone leaves, their pitching history stays on the contact.
